Hemis Festival 2026: The Jewellery of Ladakh That Tells a Thousand-Year Story
Every summer, the 400-year-old Hemis Monastery in Ladakh hosts one of the most spectacular cultural events in India. Monks in towering brocade crowns and silk robes perform the sacred Cham dance for two days, drums echo across the Himalayan valleys and pilgrims from across the world arrive draped in generations-old jewellery.
